What we are

Polar Landing Report is an independent editorial publication comparing Antarctica and Arctic expedition cruise operators. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Aurora Expeditions or any operator named on this site.

How we work

Our editorial desk reads and aggregates publicly available reviews from Trustpilot, Tripadvisor, Cruise Critic, and Travelstride, cross-references operator-published fleet and pricing data, and applies the weighting described on our methodology page. We do not commission or publish first-party reviews; every rating traces back to a third-party platform we name and date. Where we could not independently verify a figure ourselves, we mark it "not disclosed" rather than estimate.

How we make money

We accept a flat, disclosed submission-review fee from operators requesting evaluation (see Submit an Operator) and run display advertising. Neither affects a score or tier placement: no operator sees or approves its rating before publication, and no fee buys a better tier or position within one.

Editorial desk

Ratings, fact-checking, and copy on this site are produced and reviewed by the Polar Landing Report Editorial Desk as a collective process rather than a single named byline, so that no individual claim rests on an unverifiable personal credential. Our process, sourcing, and correction policy are documented in full on the editorial policy page, precisely so the process can be checked independent of who wrote a given page.
